    Sealing primers question.

Is it really necessary? I've read that a lot if people do it with nail polish that has been thinned a bit. Is it helpful for hunting in the elements or is the tension of the pockets enough to keep moisture out?

Will the nail polish affect anything?

I have never done it, and haven’t had any problems, but it isn’t very wet where I’m at.

Never sealed any as a normal part of reloading. Have had ammo get totally soaked, and still fire fine

I never saw a reason or me to seal primers. Maybe if I were planning amphibious operations or something like that it would come into play, but until I see an IDPA stage called Storming Normandy I don't see a reason to bother.

I've done it on my 270 hunting rounds as a just in case, and to test and see if anything was effected by doing it. No ill effect but theres really no need to do so.
